early mornings

I know I said I was going to finish the party curse, but I have something else to say. Have you ever gone out for a drive at 4:30am? It's not as quiet as you'd think. While it's true that anyone who might have been out partying the night before has headed off to bed, all the folks who start work at 5 or 6am are our there and it's really quite crowded on the road. My husband takes a train at 4:45am and the station is always crowded when I drop him off. Even with all the people on the roads, or maybe because of them there is a sureal quality to the whole time of day. Sometimes it feels like a dream.
